The hospital quality data in this directory is from recognized national and state sources such as: The Joint Commission (TJC), The Leapfrog Group and Hospital Compare. The data is specific to each hospital’s performance in areas such as accreditation status, patient safety, clinical effectiveness of care, infection rates, patient readmissions, and quality improvement goals involving patient care.
Each hospital quality data source has its own process for gathering and analyzing the data. These national and state recognized sources have established their own validation schedules. The data provided is only as accurate as their last validation and update.
