Han So-hee and Park Seo-joon lead the cast of Gyeongseong Creature, a Netflix horror K-drama that starts as a period piece and moves into the present day during season 2. In addition to all the licensed K-dramas available on Netflix, the streamer is also known for original Korean productions. Gyeongseong Creature is one of many successful Netflix K-drama webseries, and while the first season received mixed reviews, the show was renewed for season 2.
Gyeongseong Creature season 1 takes place in 1945 in the final days of World War II. It combines real historical elements with science fiction aspects in a horror story set in Gyeongseong. The first season of the K-drama starring Park Seo-joon and Han So-hee sees Tae-sang and Chae-ok teaming up to investigate the Ongseong Hospital, which a lot of patients don’t return. Gyeongseong Creature season 2 takes place in 2024 and sees Chae-ok, who’s still alive, meeting a man who looks just like Jang Tae-sang.

Character: Tae-sang is the owner of the House of Golden Treasure, a famous Gyeongseong pawnshop. His connections and influence make him the perfect choice to investigate the disappearance of Police Chief Ishikawa's mistress. This investigation leads Tae-sang to Chae-ok, who is also investigating a missing person. At the end of Gyeongseong Creature season 1, Park Seo-joon is playing a seemingly different character, Jang Ho-jae, a role he reprises in season 2.

Chae-ok's story takes a surprising turn when she discovers what happened to her mother. Despite the massive time skip, Han So-hee reprises her role as Yoon Chae-ok in Gyeongseong Creature season 2.

Character: Lady Maeda is a member of one of the wealthiest families in Japan and lives in Gyeongseong with her husband, Police Chief Ishikawa. In secrecy, Lady Maeda is the benefactor of the Ongseong Hospital and has a special interest in the experiments that are being conducted there.

Wi Ha-jun as Kown Jun-taek: Tae-sang's best friend. He is a revolutionary who uses his money and influence to support the independence movement. Wi Ha-jun is most known for his role as detective Hwang Jun-ho in Netflix’s Squid Game, and some of his most recent roles include Choi Do-il in Little Women and Jung Gi-cheol in The Worst of Evil.
